Welcome to the official website of the Simon Drew Foundation

The aim of the Simon Drew Foundation (SDF) is to raise money to enable underprivileged children and adults to develop their potential through education and vocational training.

Currently we are raising funds for two projects:
  • a scholarship scheme to enable hard-working children from the slums of Manila to obtain vocational training or College education after secondary school
  • tent schools in refugee camps in Lebanon to provide quality education for Syrian refugee children as well as employment for teachers from within the Syrian refugee community

SDF commences partnership with Children on the Edge

As of September 24th 2016, we are delighted to announce a new fundraising partnership with another UK based charity: Children on the Edge

We will be supporting their tent schools project in Lebanon, which currently provides quality child-friendly education for 300 Syrian refugee children. The schools are safe places with a trusted adult presence. Where other projects of this kind bring in teachers from the outside, this model employs teachers from within the Syrian refugee community. To find out more about head to our new Children on the Edge page.
